The temperature has dropped and it finally feels like the holiday season! Snuggling up with a good book, wrapped in a warm blanket, sipping some yummy hot chocolate is the perfect way to spend a winter evening. However, if sitting at home is not your thing, then get out and enjoy the holidays at your local theatre venues! Theatre Workshop of Owensboro gets us in the Christmas spirit with A Christmas Carol, the Owensboro Symphony Orchestra performs their holiday tradition- Holiday Pops, and Broadway at the RiverPark kicks up their heels in Hairspray!!

Workshop of Owensboro will present the Christmas Classic, A Christmas Carol. The plot is the same traditional storyline, as
told by Charles Dickens, but with a few twists. Adapted by Kathleen Dahill, she will shed new light on Scrooge’s journey to a reinvented self.
Actors play several roles, including props—you will magically see them morph
into cars, carriages, and tombstones.
Directed by Thad Mayhugh, a veteran
of TWO, you can expect great things to come from this outstanding show! He is
expected to add some minor characters in order to involve more people in this
production; both youth and adults will participate.
Coming off an extremely successful showing of Little Shop of Horrors (selling out ALL shows!!), you can expect the same fun and excitement in A Christmas Carol – with a splash of Christmas to add to the merriment!
Sponsored by Hillard Lyons, the production takes to the stage on Fridays: December 7th, 14th, and 21st at 7pm; Saturdays: December 8th, 15th, and 22nd also at 7pm; and a Sunday matinee performance on December 16th at 2pm.
