As a part of the “Broadway at the RiverPark” series, Lord of the Dance bursts onto the stage in more than a mere toe-tapping dance number; it is a masterfully orchestrated combination of precision dancing, state of the art lighting and pyrotechnics – all pulsating to the beat of traditional and modern Celtic Music. This award-winning international dance spectacular has shattered box office records all over the world; Lord of the Dance not only brought Irish dancing to the world stage, and catapulted the art of Irish dance to a higher level.
Lord of the Dance is a
classic tale of good vs. evil based on old Irish folklore as Don Dorcha, the
Dark Lord, challenges the Lord of the Dance. It is also a passionate love story
that is expressed through dance numbers that transport audiences into a
mystical and exhilarating world of intense passion. The action plays out over
21 scenes, on a grand scale of pinpoint choreography, dramatic music and
colorful costumes.

Slower paced, but thematically intriguing nonetheless, Theatre Workshop of Owensboro’s production of An Inspector Calls is a mysterious drama that will have you scratching your head, wondering what revelation Inspector Goole will bring to light next!
First performed in 1946, this classic drama is as influential to contemporary audiences, partially because of its symbolic nature and engaging dialogue. Centered around the wealthy Birling family, the mysterious and persistent inspector Goole slowly peels back the family’s happy facade to reveal a house full of deception and lies. This proves to be a shocking experience for the Birlings as they learn that they have all played a part in the suicide of a young girl named Eva Smith.
Directed by Lisa Mingus Tallus, a
veteran of directing and acting, this show is sure to be a hit! Cast members
for the production are all veterans of the TWO stage as well, including Todd
Reynolds, Debbie Reynolds, Anne Welsh, Wes Bartlett, Ryan Henry, Worth Mount
Joy, and Hannah Huffman.
Sponsored by Swedish Match, the production takes to the stage on Fridays: February 1st, 8th and 15th at 7 p.m.; Saturdays: February 2nd, 9th, and 16th also at 7 p.m.; and a Sunday matinee performance on February 10th at 2 p.m. Tickets are $18 for adults and $10 for students. For reservations, please call TWO box office at (270) 683-5353.
