Forever Tango! traces the colorful
history of tango through music, dance, and “dramatic vignettes.” Featuring an
all-Argentine cast of 14 dancers and a 12-piece orchestra, you are sure to
stare in awe as these talented dancers sashay across the stage. Each dancer
performs the tango in his or her own unique style, offering “unspoken insight
into this mysterious and passionate art form.” Four bandoneons, (an
accordion-like instrument most associated with the sound of tango), gives this
performance a unique quality you will not find on any other stage. Forever Tango! recaptures the
passion of the irresistible, sensual, and entertaining Argentinean dance and
beckons you to come and experience the power and history of this beautiful art.
Presented by Jam Theatricals as part

Theatre
Workshop of Owensboro adds its splash of class to this month’s theatre events
with their toe-tapping musical comedy Forever
Plaid.
The story of Forever Plaid begins at the end as four young, eager male singers, known as “The Plaids.” The group is killed in a car crash in the 1950s on the way to their first big concert. The story revolves around their miraculous return from the afterlife for the chance to fulfill their dreams and perform the show that never was.
The score consists of some of
the greatest nostalgic pop hits of the 1950s. They will take you back to a time when things were simple, and the
beautiful harmonious notes of a barbershop quartet was all you needed to make a
day perfect.
