Southern Gospel Superstars: Give Him Glory Tour 2008

Easter is a time when most people think of bunnies and eggs, but there is another, more spiritual side to Easter, for Christians. If you have ever had the opportunity to see the Passion of the Christ, or have read up on Ash Wednesday, Good Friday and Easter Sunday, you know the historical background of this holiday.

The weekend of March 7 and 8, prepare for celebrating Easter when the inspirational Frank Arnold Ministries bring their wonderful Give Him Glory Tour to Owensboro.

Frank and Vickie Arnold, of Tulsa, Oklahoma, have been performing gospel and spreading their musical ministry since 1990 as The Arnolds. In 1999, Sheri La Fontaine joined The Arnolds, lending her musical background and soulful but versatile vocals to the team. While their homes are in Tulsa, Oklahoma, they travel all across the country ministering in churches and in concert halls. They have produced four projects titled: When Morning Breaks, Living it up in the Son, Read Between The Nails, Stand and Testify a concert video-Arkansas Live, and their latest Sing Unto The Lord. The Arnolds have also appeared on the TBN Network and continue to grow on the Southern Gospel Music Industry.

This two-day concert is all about southern gospel music. Kicking off Friday’s concert, at 7 p.m., several talented Christian artists, including The Hoppers, Gold City, the Perrys, Mark Bishop, and The Arnolds will perform at the RiverPark Center. For a little peppering of laughter, look for Larry DeLawder imitating Barney Fife by playing the harmonica in a way you have never heard before.

At 6 p.m., on Saturday, those harmonious sounds will once again fill our hearts when performers such as the Mike Bowling Group, Jason Crabb, The Isaccs, and Crabb Revival perform.

Each of these talented artists has their own unique style of ministering. This is an excellent opportunity to take time out from the normalcy of life and enjoy some soul reviving gospel music.

Tickets start at $15.50 per person and children 13 and under are only $6. For ticket information, call the RiverPark Center box office at (270) 687-2787. For more information on the Frank Arnold Ministries, visit www.frankarnoldministries.com.
